Welcoming a child into the
Christian community is a very special occasion.
It is a celebration of God's great love for us
and a time to reflect on the divine mystery of
salvation.

Catholic church, otherwise, please contact the
Pastor for details.
What is the first step? Please contact the Parish office to arrange
the dates of the Baptism and the Prep Class.
What if I am not a
member of this parish? If you are not a member of the parish, you
need a letter from the pastor of the church at
which you are registered for permission to
baptize your child in our parish. If you are
not registered at any parish, you should
register at the church where you attend Mass
most frequently.
Are there any fees? There is no fee for the preparation. For
the Baptism however, it is customary to give a
donation to the priest administering the
Baptism.
What is required of
Godparents? Two Godparents, 17 years and older are
required - one must be male and the other
female. At least one of the two must have
received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist
and Confirmation and be a practicing Catholic.
A parent cannot serve as a Godparent.
What if the Godparent is
unable to attend the Baptism? A proxy may stand in place of one
